Following the advisory by the Supreme Court En Banc allowing for the conduct of oral arguments, the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) released a position statement expressing its support for the implementation of Salary Grade-15 among entry-level nurses.

“We stand with other professional organizations in calling for the Supreme Court to classify nurses as Salary Grade 15 and to compel the Executive Secretary, DBM, and DOH to pay nurses according to what the law stipulates”, the statement reads.

Moreover, to support the said cause, the organization encouraged its members to join the WALK for JUST COMPENSATION FOR NURSES. It will be conducted in Metro Manila as well as in other PNA regions and chapters where ceremonial walks will be organized.

The Supreme Court set the oral arguments on February 26, 2019, at 2:00 P.M.
